The Brick Public Schools are a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through one-twelfth grade from Brick Township, in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States. [ 3 ]

As of the 2017-18 school year, the district, comprised of 12 schools, had an registration of 8,809 students and 758.7 classroom teachers ( on an FTE footing ), for a student–teacher proportion of 11.6:1. [ 1 ] The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group “ DE ”, the fifth-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. Board of education [edit ]
The district ‘s board of education, comprised of seven members, sets policy and oversees the fiscal and educational operation of the zone through its presidency. As a Type II school district, the board ‘s trustees are elected directly by voters to serve three-year terms of office on a stagger basis, with either two or three seats up for election each year held ( since 2012 ) as separate of the November general election.
