One of the most agitate additions has been the post newfangled 10-cinema HOYTS that ’ sulfur opened up, featuring five standard auditoriums, two HOYTS Lux auditoriums, two Xtremescreen auditoriums and the pièce de résistance, a HOYTS D-BOX auditorium. It ’ s the beginning of its kind in WA and one of only five in the country, and we got take it for a spin recently .
basically D-BOX film featre motion technology to create an immersive cinema feel with seats that pitch, roll, heave and thrill in synchronize with whatever you ’ rhenium watching on sieve. The seats besides feature a command panel to let you adjust movement saturation, along with the ability to recline the heck out of it for some superior comfort ( in amongst the rock and rolling, of course ) .
We saw the latest James Bond movie, ‘ No Time To Die ’, which offered plenty of opportunity for a proper test drive of the seats, and from the first explosion onwards it was reasonably darn fun ! The intuitive nature of the seats meant it never felt overbearing or excessively acute ( we had our ’ mho set to maximum, of course ), and it decidedly added an extra element to car chases and artillery fights.

What about stood out more though was the luxury of it all – the seats are huge, leather recliners, which means less people in the film and a more intimate feel. This alone makes it worth the extra monetary value .
And what of that extra cost ? A standard film shield will set you back $ 22 ( pornographic ), while Xtremescreen sessions are $ 27, with D-BOX lone costing a few bucks more at $ 30. As cinephiles ourselves who love our military action big and reasoned very forte, we ’ vitamin d be going for an Xtremescreen school term anyways, so the extra $ 3 is worth it for lean back luxury with some rumble, tumbling playfulness thrown on top.
In terms of what you ’ ll be able to see there, basically any approaching adult budget action movies will be screening in D-BOX, with ‘ Venom : Let There Be Carnage ’ taking over from Bond as of this week. fountainhead to the HOYTS Karrinyup Website to ledger in your future extreme film going feel now .
