On the boys ’ side, Cypress Creek High School posted a two-day grudge of 580 ( 289-291 ) to place moment as a team at the District 17-6A Boys ’ Golf Tournament, held March 31 and April 4 at Cypress Lakes Golf Club .
All qualifying teams and medalists progress to the Region III-6A Golf Tournament at Eagle Pointe Golf Club ( 12440 Eagle Pointe Drive ) in Mont Belvieu. The girls ’ tournament is set for April 18-19, while the boys ’ tournament is set for April 20-21 .
Palmeros won the zone style by one inject, edging Cathilyn Lee of Spring Branch ISD ’ s Memorial High School.

On the boys ’ side, the five Cypress Creek golfers who comprised the second-place eat up were Rex Hargrove ( 72-67–139 ), Jackson Gilbert ( 68-72–140 ), Braeden Hoyt ( 68-76–144 ), Tim Mauldin ( 81-76–157 ) and Taft Harter ( 91-84–175 ) .
Hargrove and Gilbert finished second gear and third, respectively, while Hoyt tied for seventh to give the Cougars three finishers in the top 10 .
Cypress Creek High School junior Rex Hargrove shot a two-round total of 139 at the District 17-6A Boys ’ Golf Tournament, finishing second individually and helping the Cougars coating second in the team competition.
“ The boys played their best golf of the temper at the zone tournament, ” said Scott Holloway, Cypress Creek lead boys ’ golf coach. “ These guys have put in an excessive amount of time practicing golf over the by year. Their hard work has paid off with a second consecutive stumble to the regional tournament. ”
Memorial ( 274-289–563 ) won the team championship, Stratford ’ mho Andrew Ferworn and Memorial ’ s Gray Gammill earned the two medalist spots after placing tied for seventh and one-ninth individually .
Cy-Fair High School sophomore Binh Pham posted a two-round entire of 152 at the District 17-6A Boys ’ Golf Tournament, tying for 11th individually .
